Erik Ubels (The Netherlands, 1971) is a multitalented musician and composer whose work can be heard on award winning documantaries (MTV LOGO award, Ciné-Asié Award) and artists' records from Australia to Taiwan to Canada and The Netherlands (Phonogram Records).
He is the co-developer, (with Greg Blue) lead instructor and co-ordinator for the Electronic Music Production Program at Langara College in Vancouver, Canada and instructs at the British Columbia Institute of Technology's Broadcasting department.
After Studying Theatre Directing and Journalism in The Netherlands Erik worked on successful television and radio projects for TROS national television and Radio Netherlands International Service. He also wrote hundreds of articles, reviews and interviews for international newspapers and magazines like IDJ and Future Music as well as for the Dutch Amerika and Interface magazines.
In 2000 Erik relocated to Vancouver, Canada and started his label and electronic music studio LIAB MUSIC. To date he has arranged, composed and sound designed over 300 projects for clients as diverse as Sotheby's, Sprint USA, University of British Columbia and Sierra Wireless.
His work is listed on sites like www.imdb.com and is available in more then 200 online records stores under the name BTBF!. In 2010 Erik will be performing at the 2010 Winter Olympics with Australian artist TessaAmy and The new [BTBF!] album [POPGASM] will be available June 1 2010.
